I live in the San Francisco Bay Area about a mile from the Pacific Ocean with my son and our cat.

About five years ago, I began writing a memoir as a way to process grief and trauma. Writing is now my primary creative outlet.

Seasons of Light & Loss is a story of resilience and the synchronicity of unexpected events, both joyful and terrible.

The memoir covers the period between September 2014, when my husband was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, through my next relationship and the premature birth of my son in March 2017.

It is universal in its themes, specific in its rendering.

I’m currently working on a memoir about growing up mixed race in New England in the eighties and a dystopian fantasy novel set in Northern California.

More about me: I’m Bengali and Ashkenazi Jewish with a Catholic and prep school education. I grew up on the east coast but I’m a Californian for life. I read everything from literary fiction to romance, sci fi, fantasy, memoir, and popular nonfiction. I also travel, cook, garden, and do yoga.

I have a BA from Stanford University and an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School, I work as an executive leader in a climate tech startup.
